I’m Ashley, the maker behind The Nerdie Atelier. I have been sewing since 2000, after a high school friend introduced me to cosplay and we started creating together. That spark grew into purses, clothes, everyday accessories and the unusual things I could not find anywhere else.
I began selling on Etsy in 2010, added leatherwork in 2016, decals in 2020 with my first Cricut, and 3D printing in November 2025. Every piece brings together my love of sewing, cosplay, reading, astrology, tarot and useful handmade design.

How does shipping work?
U.S. shipping is a flat $12.50 per order. Shipping is selected in the basket before secure Stripe checkout.
Can I pick up locally?
Yes. Free local pickup is available in Louisville, Kentucky. Choose local pickup in the basket and no shipping charge will be added. Ashley will contact you after purchase to arrange the pickup time and location. The pickup address is not posted publicly.
Are items made to order?
Many pieces are handmade or made to order. Timing can vary by item and current workload. Contact Ashley before ordering if you need something by a specific date.
What is the return policy?
Because the pieces are handmade and many are made to order, returns and exchanges are not accepted. Cancellations are allowed; contact Ashley as soon as possible if you need to cancel an order.
Can I request a custom piece?
Absolutely. Custom fabrics, sizes, shapes and original ideas are welcome. Ashley will confirm the design, timing and final price before work begins.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Contact Ashley promptly with your order details and photos of the packaging and item so she can review what happened and help with the next step.
